On July 19, the CBSE Cluster VI Athletic Meet 2025–2026 was inaugurated at Velammal Vidyalaya School, Karur.Karur District Collector Mr. M. Thangavel, IAS, and Paralympic gold medalist Mr. Mariyappan Thangavelu participated as special guests.
On July 17, The Ungaludan Stalin scheme is holding 179 special camps across Karur district. Today, petitions were collected from residents of Wards 24 and 26 at the Chinna Kongu Wedding Hall camp. Karur District Collector Mr. Thangavel, local officials, and the public participated, urging everyone to benefit from these camps.
